PROGRAMS
INFANTS
Our priority in our infants rooms is for babies to feel safe and happy. We help them discover the world around them. We are more than teachers, we are an important extended family who help children reach their developmental milestones. With patience and understanding, we teach infants through consistent routines, songs, simple stories, and sensory experiences.
PROGRAMS
TODDLERS
In our toddlers' classrooms teachers focus on building positive relationships. They prioritize getting to know students meaningfully and providing emotional security. Teaching through songs, rhymes, and open-ended art helps students grasp basic cognitive and social concepts, while reinforcing positive behavior encourages positive actions.
PROGRAMS
TWOS
In our 2s classes students transition to become "big kids". Teachers introduce more structured daily schedules. This is the time when walking in line, taking turns, circle time, learning centers, and potty training begin. Teachers have their own unique teaching style. Teachers work with kids on their language, basic math and science concepts, self-regulation skills, sensory play, songs, stories, and process art. Arts adn crafts and music and movement are important aspects of our 2s classes.
PROGRAMS
THREES
In our 3s classes students explore early literacy and basic math and science concepts. Through play, songs, music and movement, children learn first letters, numbers, patterns, and shapes. We treat each student individually. More structured academics are introduced for those who are ready, students also have a different sensory experience every day. Playdoh, kinetic sand, shaving cream, and slime are wonderful tools to develop fine motor skills and are helpful in building the foundation for writing. Teachers value academics as much as self-regulation and social skills. Children learn to independently take care of their belongings, and communicate respectfully with others.
PROGRAMS
PRE-K
In Pre-K, teachers focus on building confidence and independence in the school setting while learning how to be kind and respectful to others. Each week, teachers focus on letters, numbers, shapes, colors, opposites, sight words, and STEM thorugh fun, hands-on activities while supporting all areas of development. We strive to support a nurturing play-based but structured atmosphere. We pride ourselves on ensuring that our Pre-K students are Kindergarten ready when they graduate.
At Seaside School we believe in making sure that we are communicating with our parents who are entrusting us with the care of their children.
