An evening for young ladies grades 5th-12th to Shine!

Shine like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the Word of Life. Philippians 2:15

Saturday, April 6
5:30 to 8:00 p.m

An evening of dinner, fun, photos and surprises including a lesson with a professional ballroom dance instructor.
Grab your dad, grandfather, uncle, older brother to accompany you. Don’t have one of those? See Justin Talk, one of your student leaders or Life Group leaders would love to stand by you as you shine like a star in the sky on this special evening.

Cost is $10 per couple.

What to wear: Casual to Formal!
Young Ladies are encouraged to dress in what makes them feel beautiful and honors Christ love!
Gentlemen are encouraged to seek the fashion advice from their star!

Cell phones are encouraged to share fun photos throughout the evening

Sunday AM Crew is a time when students have the opportunity to engage with Jesus through Biblical study and connection with other students and adult leaders. The Break game room opens before group gatherings at 9 am.

Sunday Night Life Group is a time for high school students to grow in their faith as they connect with each other and adult leaders, worship through music, hear testimonies, and learn from relevant biblical teaching.

Wednesday Night Beach Bums is is a time for middle and high school students to grow in their faith as they connect with each other and learn from relevant biblical teaching. Friends are always welcome!

Friday Night Crew is a time when students have the opportunity to engage with Jesus through Biblical study and connection with other students and adult leaders, as well as grow in their faith through musical worship. The break game room is also open during this time!

Summer Mission Trips 

Middle School  //  Middle School Jeremiah Project 2019 Summer Mission Trip

Romney, West Virginia 

When? July 14 2019 – July 20 2019 

Who? 6th – 8th grade for 2018 – 2019 school year  

Why? To be in community serving God and others. Students and adults work to make homes warmer, safer, drier, and more accessible for God’s people in need. Throughout the week, students are given a wide-range of home repair opportunities from painting to building wheelchair ramps. 

Cost? $450 for Fundraising participants (with the intent of price dropping with the fundraising efforts – Goal is $400)

            $550 for Non-fundraising participants (price will not drop). 

            $225 non-refundable deposit due at time of sign up

* Cost includes meals during the mission trip, registration fees, transposition fees, housing fees, and free day activity fees.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE 

$225 non-refundable deposit due at registration by March 1st 2019

$125 second payment due by April 30th 2019 

$100 (or adjusted from fundraiser) final payment due by May 31st 2019

When? June 23 2019 – June 29 2019 

Who? 9th – 12th grade for 2018 – 2019 school year

HIGH SCHOOL (SIGN UP)

Student Worship Team

We are looking for student musicians to join our Student Ministry worship team. Guitar, Bass, Keys, Vocals, or hand drums! If you are interested in audio or A/V also let me know! We need students to play as well as run everything behind the scenes! We will teach you how to play or train you to run A/V!

Worship Opportunities are Friday Night at Crew 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm, Sunday morning 9:15 am – 10:30 am, and Sunday evenings for High School Crew at 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm!

General troop information:

Troop 378 meets weekly at VBUMC on Thursday nights in the Fellowship Hall from 7:15 PM – 8:45 PM unless otherwise announced. We invite all boys in 6th grade and up to stop by and see who we are and what we are about. We also invite adults of any age to join the volunteer leadership in helping shape the lives of young boys into young men.
