Senior Ministry seeks to foster an environment in which adults in mid- to late life feel welcomed and fully engaged in the ministry of God’s kingdom. Seniors’ experiences and wisdom are embraced as valuable resources. To this end, the following areas of ministry have been identified:
- Spiritually enriching activities to strengthen the Faith journey
- Educational opportunities to extend active engagement in all areas of life
- Cross-generational events to bridge barriers which often divide God’s children
- Missional events to serve as the hands and feet of Christ

S.E.A. (Seasoned Energetic Adults) Fellowship
Are you 55 or better? Wondering how you can continue to work and play in meaningful ways as your rhythm and routine change? The key to enjoying this unique season of life is to partner together in fellowship and service rather than move into isolation. S.E.A. (Seasoned Energetic Adults) Fellowship exists by, for and with persons 55 and better. We meet the 2nd Friday of each month, September – June. S.E.A. offers a variety of opportunities for fellowship, inspiration, education, faith formation and service and outreach.
Seniors know how to enjoy fellowship, fun and food and at the same time get energized through interesting, educational programs. One such program is coming up at our next meeting on Friday, May 10 at 11 a.m. at Baylake United Methodist Church, 4300 Shore Drive. Come learn about what meteorologists do from Jeff Lawson, weather man on channel 13 news. Jeff will talk about climate change, severe weather events leading to natural disasters in recent months, and what’s involved in predicting the weather. RSVP by May 8.

I.C.E. (In Case of Emergency) Forms
Recent events in our church have again brought home the need to maintain emergency contact information for our members. We are most concerned with members who live by themselves, but would like this for everyone. “In Case of Emergency” forms may be obtained at the Welcome Center desk. Please pick up a form, complete it, and turn it in to the Welcome Desk.
