Teaching Children About Jesus
We lead our kids to an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ, where they are excited to get to know Him, what He stands for, and what that means in their lives. We strive to give our children a solid foundation that they can build on as they grow and experience life.

Students participate in age-appropriate lessons and activities derived from the Think Orange curriculum.
Think Orange ministry curriculum weaves together music, communicator scripts, small group discussions, video presentations, and creative activities to reinforce one clear and simple bottom line each week so kids can walk away and remember what matters most. We help our students learn how to:
Make wiser choices,
Build stronger relationships, and
Develop a deeper faith
Children’s worship bags and child care options are available during all church services on the 1st floor.
For more info, visit the Welcome Center desk or see The COVE tab below.
Want to join our team of Children’s Ministry teachers? Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. All of our teachers are Safe Sanctuary Trained with background checks.
Safe Sanctuaries is an outward expression in making congregations safe places where children and youth may experience the abiding love of God and fellowship within the community of faith.
Safe Sanctuary Policy
The United Methodist Church has adopted a policy for the protection of children and youth involved in its ministries and for the protection of workers against frivolous accusations. We follow this policy so that anyone working with children and youth or involved in any children’s or youth ministries must be Safe Sanctuary-certified. This is a two-step process:
- Applicants must complete and pass a criminal background check – youth volunteers: every year; adult volunteers: every three years
- Applicants must attend Safe-Sanctuary training annually.
The Cove offers a safe and loving environment for infants through 5-year-olds on Sunday mornings, 8:00am – 12:00pm, as well as during many other church events.
Our nursery and childcare facilities are operated by experienced childcare staff and volunteers. All staff and volunteers have been thoroughly screened and trained per the United Methodist Conference Child Protection Policy.
Children from ages infant to 5 years can attend the beginning of the worship service & be escorted to The Cove following the children’s moment. Pick up children in S117B after the service. For more information, visit the Welcome Desk at the main glass entrance.
