Teaching Children About Jesus

We lead our kids to an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ, where they are excited to get to know Him, what He stands for, and what that means in their lives.  We strive to give our children a solid foundation that they can build on as they grow and experience life.

Safe Sanctuaries

Safe sanctuaries is an outward expression in making congregations safe places where children and youth may experience the abiding love of God and fellowship within the community of faith.

Safe Sanctuary Policy

The United Methodist Church has adopted a policy for the protection of children and youth involved in its ministries and for the protection of workers against frivolous accusations. We follow this policy so that anyone working with children and youth or involved in any children’s or youth ministries must be Safe-Sanctuary certified. This is a two-step process:

  1. Applicants must complete and pass a criminal background check – youth volunteers: every year, adult volunteers: every three years
  2. Applicants must attend Safe-Sanctuary training, annually.

The Cove offers a safe and loving environment for infants through 5 year olds on Sunday mornings, 8:00am – 12:00pm, as well as during many other church events.

Our nursery and childcare facilities are operated by experienced childcare staff and volunteers. All staff and volunteers have been thoroughly screened and trained per the United Methodist Conference Child Protection Policy.

Four- and five-year-olds can attend the beginning of the worship service & be escorted to The Cove following the children’s moment. Pick up children in S117B after the service. For more information, visit the Welcome Desk at the main glass entrance. To serve as a Sunday school teacher contact Pam Peskoe.
