Gracious God, you have stood in our midst for generations nurturing, guiding and
sustaining us as your church. We seek your presence now as we undertake what
we believe to be your urging as we move forward in ministry. Bricks and mortar
might not be the things of which your kingdom is constructed but willing hearts
and dedicated lives surely are. We ask that you lead us in service to a world that
requires nothing less than our very best and allow us to speak your name in all we
do for generations to come. Amen
It has been amazing to watch how outreach and service, ministry, program and faith
have grown through the years. Since the early 1900s, the history of this property
has been a story of acquisition, renovation, and transformation. Through the years
our congregation has grown in numbers and also in Christian Discipleship.
We have chosen to remain at the oceanfront, believing that God’s mission for us begins here.
Our predecessors have taken bold steps to bring us to this place and time and it is now our
time to take the next faithful steps toward the future of Beach United Methodist
Church.

OUR PRESENT BUILDING FLOOR PLAN
• North Wing is the oldest building in our Church:
• Any modifications to the existing facility would require
the entire wing to be brought up to code.
• Current Fellowship Hall was built in 1958 for a
congregation of 450.
• The heating and cooling (HVAC) system is inefficient and
in need of replacement.
• Restrooms are small and in need of improvement.
The maze of corridors between the Welcome Center and
the current Fellowship Hall results in wasted space and a
"disconnect" between the two areas.

“There will come a time when I pour out my Spirit on all people… The old
among you shall dream dreams and the young shall see visions. I will pour out
my Spirit on servants, men, and women alike.”
Joel 2:28-29
