Senior Ministry seeks to foster an environment in which adults in mid to late life feel really welcomed and fully engaged in the ministry of God’s kingdom. Seniors’ experiences and wisdom are embraced as valuable resources. To this end, the following areas of ministry have been identified:
- Spiritually enriching activities to strengthen the Faith journey
- Educational opportunities to extend active engagement in all areas of life
- Cross-generational events to bridge barriers which often divide God’s children
- Missional events to serve as the hands and feet of Christ

Christmas Community Outreach
Share the Light of Christmas and be a Santa to an Overlooked Senior
We can serve with purpose by providing tangible love and light to seniors who are least likely to receive a present during the holiday season. Help us to provide gifts for around 200 seniors in the Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and Portsmouth area this year!
- Tree inside the Office Suite on Nov 10.
- Gifts are due by Dec 3.
- Partnering with Home Instead Senior Care and area non-profit agencies.
- Providing gifts for lonely or financially challenged older adults in our community.
- We will have 50 Light Bulbs to “turn on”.
